Welcome to Reel Bolivar Fishing Guide Services! Ready to hit the water? Whether you’re up for a full day or just a half-day trip, we’ll take you out on Galveston Bay for some serious fun. We’ll be chasing speckled trout, redfish, flounder, and whatever else decides to bite. No matter what you reel in, you’re in for a great time!
The Boat & Gear
We fish out of a 25’ 2018 Haynie H.O., powered by a Mercury 250 Pro XS. It’s got a Lowrance depth finder with GPS, an 8’ Power-Pole, and a Minn Kota trolling motor to keep us locked in on the fish. We’re fully stocked with all the latest safety gear, just like the Coast Guard says we should be—so you can relax and enjoy the ride.
Need a Place to Stay?
We partner with the MiaPesca Fishing Lodge to offer our customers a clean and beautiful place to relax and unwind after a day of fishing. We will pick you up and drop you off a the lodge’s private boat dock, making it easy to get your catch on the grill!
Seasoned Anglers or Just Getting Started
If hopping out of a perfectly good boat and wading the shoreline in search of your next personal best sounds like your kind of fun—I’m all in. And if you’re looking to bring the kids or the whole family for a laid-back, memorable day on the water, I’ve got you covered there too.
Wading
Wade fishing is one the most enjoyable and hardest things you’ll ever do. East bay has some great areas with nice sandy/shell bottoms that make for some good times in the water. We can provide all the wading gear if this is what you want to try.
Redfish
We can specifically target redfish by fishing with some large bait or heading into the marshlands.
Speckled Trout
All time favorite fish to catch, trout are aggressive and put up a good show. I personally think they’re one of the best tasting fish in our waters.
Shark
Do you want a once-in-a-lifetime experience of catching the ultimate predator? Don’t worry, we’ll release it so he can make another movie some day!
Kids are Welcome
Kids are the best—there’s nothing like seeing their faces light up when they’ve got a fish on the line. I’ve had quiet, shy kids end the day singing at the top of their lungs! If you’re bringing little ones along, just give me a heads-up—I’ve got the right gear to make sure it’s a fun and successful trip for everybody.
Family Moments
I love family trips where the entire family gets to bond and have life moments that I get to be a part of.
Cast and Blast
If you are interested in duck hunting, we do have an option during season to spend a few hours chasing ducks and then get to some fishing.
New Boat Owners
If you are a new boat owner and just want to learn East Bay, I’ll be glad to show you around. We can take your boat and get it nice and dirty with some good fish scales!! I love breaking in a new boat with the smell of trout and redfish.

About Me
Hey there, I’m Captain Mark Allen. I’m a dad to four awesome boys who are just as hooked on fishing and being outside as I am. My wife—who, I’ve gotta admit, can outfish all of us on a good day—keeps us all in line.
I grew up fishing Galveston Bay with my dad, and what started as a hobby quickly turned into a full-blown obsession. These days, I live just 8 minutes from the boat ramp, and I can get from one of my furthest fishing spots back home in 25 minutes—boat loaded and everything.
When I’m not running charters, I’m still out on the water scouting for fish and learning more every day. For me, the best part of being a fishing guide is getting to share that passion with others. If you come fish with me, I can promise you’ll have a great time.
